the location was incredibly convenient, just a short walk from the train station and close to the university. Plus, I was lucky enough to have a room with a view of the sea - it was breathtaking! The staff were absolutely amazing, always smiling and ready to help, and they even arranged a taxi for my departure. The cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch, with daily room service ensuring everything was spotless. And let's not forget the breakfast - a delicious spread of fresh pastries, different jams, and a great selection of fruits and yogurts. It was the perfect way to start the day!
Everything was simply perfect!

The hotel had a prime location, just a short walk away from the main shopping street and the beautiful Port. The view from some of the rooms was stunning, providing a great backdrop. Another positive aspect was the convenience of the hotel's proximity to the train station, making it easy to explore the area. the breakfast provided was basic but satisfying, offering a good start to the day.
The hotel seemed to cater to smokers, with ashtrays in all the rooms and a special smoking area downstairs. The non-smoking room we got still had a musty smell and cigarette burns on the carpet.

My stay at Hotel De La Gare was excellent. I was in Brest for a weekend getaway and the hotel's convenient location made it easy to explore the city. It is right next to the train station, bus station, and bus stops that take you to the harbor and other city spots. The city center, with its shops and the tramway connected to the airport, is also within a short distance. The staff at the hotel were wonderful, with a gentle attitude and great help. The cleanliness of the hotel was also impressive. Despite the TV not having any English channels, it wasn't a problem for me as I was out most of the day.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

The location of the hotel was great and really convenient for exploring the city during Christmas. The breakfast had a nice selection of pastries and hot drinks, perfect way to start a cold winter day. The staff was friendly and helpful, always willing to give useful information about the city.
The room was not what we expected or seen in the pictures online. The carpets were stained, the curtains outdated and the walls needed a fresh coat of paint.

Convenient location and excellent breakfast. The hotel is situated near the train station, making it easy to travel around the city. their breakfast offers a satisfying start to the day with a range of options to choose from. One other advantage was the friendly staff who were willing to help and make our stay enjoyable.
Lack of cleanliness and outdated decor. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the hallways and carpet left much to be desired.
